Who is behind it 1: John Alexander Duncan of Sketraw

Fancy knowing their real identities?

There are two persons behind the attacks:

1. John Alexander Duncan of Sketraw

A computer worker at Huntly Computers and sometimes folk singer in Scotland. How do we know? In two different forums Mr Duncan uses the exact same wording under his own name and under the nick Scotstit. Scotstit is the administrator behind both the Facebook group and the Scots-titles.com site:

Scottish Highland Titles no longer trading from Fake Scots Titles Forum (post no. 4 from top) and Fake Scots Titles from XmarkstheScot (post no. 83)

In this latter forum thread Duncan also defends anonymity when attacking people online, admitting that he 'knows' the people behind the website Scot-titles.com...

Bit too quick there eh, Duncan? Fall in love with your own wording? It's a bit too peculiar to have been thought of twice in the same day by two different persons.

After hiding in the bushes for a couple of weeks in March 2011 John A. Duncan admitted publicly on the Scots-titles.com/forum/ that he was the founder of the Scots-titles.com website after having tried to give the impression he was NOT a founder of the infamous website in this forum: http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/f255/fake-scots-titles-64404/index2.html), where he said 'I know who they are' ('they' not 'me'), defending the Scots-titles.com anonymity of its editors (as opposed to its victims!). This was his response when the anonymity was questioned by the more sobre voices on the forum:
"OH what a nosey bunch ye are!
I know who they are yes, and there is more than one involved, but as far as revealing their identities, do you think that is the correct thing to reveal"
Read it, peeps, it's quite enjoyable.

And now to the fun part:
We discovered quite early Mr Duncan's penchant for rather dubious orders and fake knighthoods - check out these websites:

1. Here you can see Mr Duncan showing off his knighthood diploma, or, more correctly, his certficate showing him off as "Knight Jure Sanguinis, Motu Proprio, Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George": Link.
This is how he refers to himself at his own page in the Armorial Register: "Conferral: by S. A. R. Don Carlos de Borbón-Dos Sicilias y de Borbón-Parma, Duque de Calabria, Conde de Caserta, Infante de España as a Knight Jure Sanguinis, Motto Proprio, Sacred Military Constantinian Order of St George. 28th November 2006, Book 4, Folio 56, No. 3002". No small feat, that.

2. A Russian website proudly displaying Knight Duncan's arms http://www.czipm.org/sketraw01.html
(sorry, not very fluent in Russian, but the capital words in red is his name in cyrillic (google translator) and the name of the browser page is "Knight John Alexander Duncan of Sketraw", which tells you all you need to know, really.)

3. Knihgt (sic!) John Alexander Duncan of Sketraw:
http://www.heraldicarts.net/site/view-e%20...%20cko_dragon/(another Russian website that refers to some 'knighthood' – have no idea if it's the same ’knighthood’ as above or a different one, but I doubt he's inherited it...) [update: Site appears to have been taken down.]

On a more serious note, please also check out this forum (http://www.electricscotland.org/showthr ... -and-fight!), (http://www.electricscotland.org/showthread.php/1321-Time-to-stand-up-and-fight/!), where it is evident that said Mr Duncan, or Knight Duncan if you will :-), has run a threats and harassment campaign against a lady for speaking to a man he didn’t approve of, stating that 'the hounds will be called off now that they have achieved their goals'. [Update: This thread has been removed from the forum, so obviously John Duncan has been a busy bee covering his tracks.]

In any event, until recently we just assumed that Mr Duncan was an eccentric, but we have now actually received information from very reliable sources that Mr Duncan is behind this website:

http://www.armorial-register.com/

i.e. he is commercially vested in titles and arms himself. In fact he was awarded the so-called 'Knighthood' by the Italian Sacred Military Whatever Order for advertising for their services on his commercial website…

It is doubtful that his righteous hangers-on on Scots-titles.com would be quite so pleased if they knew that the person leading the 'Fake Scots Titles' campaign is doing it for purely commercial reasons… Admittedly, the person hiding behind the nick 'Chas' on the Scots-titles.com website claims that Duncan has not bought any of his titles. Sorry you're so uninformed 'Chas'. Being given something by way of compensation for services rendered actually constitutes de facto payment.

Anyway, as of late Mr Duncan appears to have taken a secondary position in the battle against less worthy lairds. But what would Laurel be without Hardy? Naturally Mr Duncan has a partner in crime who is willing to take over the torch - see next page.
